The purpose of the work is the production technology mastering of the rammed mass of СЦИН grade of adjusted composition and mortar of СЦИМ-I grade from zirconia, stabilized by Y2O3. Methods of researches are chemical, petrographic, roentgen-phase analyses of source materials, as well as rammed mass and mortar from zirconia, stabilized by Y2O3. In OJSC "The Ukrainian Research Institute of Refractories named after A.S.Berezhnoy" the technology is mastered and the manufacture of a new production type is organized - rammed mix of СЦИН grade of adjusted composition and mortar of СЦИМ-1 grade from zirconia stabilized by ~ 10% Y2O3, as well as trial lots of above-stated products are put out, which are delivered to the customers. Trial lots of powders of various grain composition from zirconia stabilized by Y2O3 or СаО and monoclinic ZrО2 are also put out, which are delivered to customers. The application of a new type of phosphate binding - alumophosphate binding of АФС grade - is tried put and it is established, that the application of this binding for manufacture of rammed masses from zirconia stabilized by Y2O3 is inexpedient, since it does not provide the increase of the main properties factors. To continue the work towards production volumes enlargement in OJSC "The Ukrainian Research Institute of Refractories named after A.S.Berezhnoy" of powders mix on the basis of zirconia stabilized by Y2O3 of ca. 10% for rammed mass and mortar; as well as the specification of grain composition of earlier developed mortar.
