The purpose of the work - perfection of the production technology of refractories from fused monoclinic zirconia for furnaces of quartz glass (fused silica) production. Methods of research - chemical, petrographic, roentgen-phase analyses, methods of physico-mechanical properties factors determination of laboratory samples and refractory products. The optimal composition of the mix with the complex silica-alumina containing additive consisting of zirconia, polozhsky kaolin and alumina, providing the receipt of samples from fused monoclinic ZrO2 with high properties factors is established: for samples with limit grain size of 1 mm - open porosity of 14,3 %, apparent density of 4,55 g / cm3, cold crushing strength 153 N/mm2, for samples with limit grain size of 0,5 mm - open porosity of 16,3 %, apparent density of 4,47 g/cm3, cold crushing strength 208 N/mm2. The use of polozhsky kaolin enlarged the raw material base forproduction of refractories from fused monoclinic ZrO2. Natural samples of products in the form of sector from fused monoclinic zirconia are produced, which are characterized by the following properties factors: open porosity of 16,5 %, apparent density of 4,46 g/cm3. Trial lots of products of ЦЦГ and ЦК grades in the form of sector and plate are put out. The products according to their properties meet the requirements of ТS S 26.2-00190503-285:2006 and to the requirements of customers. The products are delivered to customers.
