The purpose of the work - research of metrological characteristics of state samples of silica and chamotte composition at ten years' storing and forecasting of operability term for further use. Research techniques - chemical analysis, method of exponential flattening and procedure of linearization by least squares method. Together with the National centre of science "Institute of metrology", the procedure of stability and metrological characteristics research of standard samples of refractories composition and forecasting of their operability is developed. Experimental researches on metrological characteristics definition of the specified standard samples are carried out, the results obtained in chemical-analytical divisions of refractory enterprises during 10 years are collected and extended. Calculations of metrological characteristics instability error of standard samples by method ofexponential flattening and by linearization by least squares method are conducted. As a result of researches carrying out by two methods it is established, that operability term of standard samples of silica and chamotte composition can be prolonged for 20 years after assertion of certificates on these standard samples. Based on the research materials and metrological examination, acknowledging certificates of state standard samples type about validity extension of ДСТУ of silica composition and ДСТУ of chamotte composition with operability term of СО 20 years are received.
