The purpose of the work is the production technology perfection of low cement concrete mixes of СГШНЦОБ (alumina-spinel) and СМНКЦБС (self-flowing mullitecorundum) grades. Methods of researches are physical-chemical, petrographic, thermomechanical and calorimetric. The influence of periclase addition on properties of low cement alumina-spinel concrete mix is investigated. On the basis of the research results, taking into account high mechanical strength, slag resistance improved composition of low cement alumina-spinel concrete mix with fine-dispersed periclase and microsilica additions, alongside with low cement alumina-spinel concrete mix with reactive spinel addition, is suggested for application in metallurgical sets lining, e.g. steel ladles. The use of periclase and microsilica in the low cement alumina-spinel mix composition promotes the enlargement of raw material base. The request for supposed invention for composition of low cement alumina-spinel concrete mix with periclase and microsilica additions is sent. Comparative researches of high alumina cement type influence (ВГЦ-73, СА-270, А I, А I + С12А7, Secar 71, Secar Plenium) on properties of low cement alumina-spinel concrete mix are carried out. Taking into account moisture separating curves from tested castables, gas permeability, thermo-kinetic and thermo-mechanic characteristics, mono-aluminate cements of СА-270 ("Almatis"), Secar 71 ("Lafarge") are recommended for low cement alumina-spinel concrete mix production.As a result of calorimetric researches, it is established, that: heat-segregation rate and hydration heat are determined by phase composition of the cement entering the matrix part of low cement alumina-spinel concrete mix, and they increase with the increase of the content in the cement of calcium monoaluminate (СА); filler of low cement alumina-spinel concrete mix promotes the increase of thermo-kinetic characteristics by 6-10 %. The contact area of samples from low cement alumina-spinel castable with slag melt is investigated. As a result of petrographic researches, it is established, that the main destructive factor of linings, performed using low cement castables, is the influence of slag melt, which, having initially very low viscosity, during contact with the lining gradually washes it off. Thus, the process of slag penetration into linings, performed from corundum castable, passes more strongly, than that of alumina-spinel or aluminaspinelmagnesia castables, that is attributed the ability of spinel to entrain iron and manganese oxides from slag melt, forming solid solutions, thus rising slag viscosity and putting down the process of slag infiltration deep into the lining. Comparative researches of addition influence of normal electrofused corundum on properties of low cement self-flowing mullitecorundum concrete mix are carried out. Based on the research results, the opportunity of low cement self-flowing concrete mix manufacture with the use of normal electrofused corundum with 6-3 and 3-1 mm fractions instead of white electrofused corundum of analogous fractions is established, that ensures the enlargement of raw material base at the production of self-lowing concrete mix of СМКНЦБС grade. In OJSC "The Ukrainian Research Institute of Refractories named after A.S. Berezhnoy" trial batches of low cement self-flowing mullitecorundum concrete mix of СМКНЦБС grade containing normal electrofused corundum as coarse-grained filler component are produced and the production of the specified mix is mastered. The work should be continued towards production mastering and application of low cement concrete mix with the additions of periclase and microsilica, monoaluminate cement application of OJSC "The Ukrainian Research Institute of Refractories named after A.S.
