The purpose of the work - technology improvement of corundum catalyst carrier. Methods of research - chemical, spectral, physical mechanical, mercury porometry. Researches of rheological behavior of alumina masses used for shaping of corundum catalyst carrier upon a type and amount of plasticizers are carried out. Optimal values of shaping dampness and plastic strength for reception of a quality green of catalyst carrier by extrusion technique are determined. It is established, that from investigated plasticizing binders, the best shaping properties of alumina masses are provided by combined binder with an optimal relation of components. Researches of structural-mechanical and elastic-viscosity-plastic properties of alumina weight showed, that all investigated masses relate to first structural-mechanical type which is favourable for shaping. The carried out researches allow to expand the assortiment of plasticizers.Researches of pore size distribution of catalyst carrier samples with Са-containing additives of three types are carried out. Two types of additives are chosen, which provide the creation of optimal porous structure, which are presented by small amount of large transport pores (> 1,0 microns) and dominating amount of small pores (3-1 microns). The carried out investigations allow to expand the assortiment of sintering additions.Trial lots of corundum catalyst carrier of steam methane conversion are produced and delivered. The products according to properties factors meet the requirements of normative documentation.The work should be continued towards further production technology improvement of corundum catalyst carriers and introduction volumes expansion.
