The purpose of the work - improvement of concrete mix composition and trial lots output. Methods of researches - thermal- and physical-mechanical, chemical and petrographic. Laboratory researches on production technology revision of corundumsilicon carbide concrete mix for thermal sets lining are carried out. The influence of material and grain composition on properties of corundumsilicon carbide castable is investigated. The opportunity of normal corundum instead of white corundum both partianally and wholly is established, that allows extending raw material base. It is established, that obtained properties factors meet the acting normative factors of TS S. Optimal composition of corundumsilicon carbide mix is determined. The test piece of castable, based on optimal mix composition is fabricated and its properties are determined: Al2O3 - 79,9-80.5 %, SiC - 9,5-9,7 %,Fe2O3 - 0,6-0,7%, CаO - 1,60-1,62 %; cold crushing strength after 7 day air curing - 20,2-20,4 МPа, cold crushing strength of fired samples at 1450?С - 49,8-51,6 МPа. Comparative researches of copper melt effect on corundumsilicon carbide castable samples with the use in the mix composition of corundum of two types (OJSC "The Ukrainian research institute of refractories named after A.S. Berezhnoy" and OJSC " Zaporozhabraziv") are carried out. Researches showed, that copper melt doesn't penetrate into samples of both compositions. Over work program, researches of corundumsilicon carbide castable samples after service in lining of copper melt pouring spout are presented. The processes occurring in concrete lining at its operation are established. On pilot production of OJSC "The Ukrainian research institute of refractories named after A.S. Berezhnoy" trial lots of corundumsilicon carbide concrete mix of КККБС grade are fabricated. To continue the work towards material composition perfection of corundumsilicon carbide concrete mix and its testing in sets of iron and steel industry.
