The purpose of the work - production technology perfection of aluminum silicate bonded silicon carbide products. Methods of researches - physical-mechanical, chemical and petrographic. The physico-chemical analysis of silicon carbide of different producers is carried out and its influence on properties of pressed and vibrocast aluminum silicate bonded silicon carbide refractories is investigated. It is shown, that in limits of explored compositions, the use of coarse-grained silicon carbide of the presented fractions of OJSC " Zaporozhabraziv" production provides higher factors of density and strength of samples in comparison with the same samples properties from silicon carbide of other producers. Researches of oxidizing, gas permeability, thermal shock resistance, thermal conductivity and abrasive resistance of silicon carbide samples of optimal composition showed, that at use of silicon carbide of different producers service properties practically do not change. Influence of reactive alumina additives amount instead of clay on properties of vibrocast products is investigated. It is established, that reactive alumina additives in limits of explored compositions provide porosity decrease (from 18-19 up to 15-16 %) and strength improvement (from 65-70 to 100-155 МPа) of refractories. Thermal shock resistance (1300 С - water) of vibrocast products (on samples of 36 mm and 50 mm height) increased up to 20 heats. The trial lot of aluminum silicate bonded silicon carbide products is fabricated. To continue the work towards manufacturing methods perfection of aluminum silicate bonded silicon carbide products and new standard dimensions mastering by vibrocasting and broaching.
