The purpose of the work - direction determination of technology development of magnesiacarbon castables. Methods of research - chemical analysis, petrographic researches, determination method of concretes consistence, physic mechanical tests. Making of magnesiacarbon castables, with the use of sintered magnesia powder, large-scaled graphite, phenol-formaldehyde resin, curing agent, tabular alumina, high alumina cement, plasticizer and water is developed. Search laboratory-technological researches on the selection of type and amount of plasticizer for reception of magnesiacarbon castables with optimal properties factor are carried out: water demand of concrete mix - 12 %, quantity of castable flowing - 114, apparent density of samples after heat treatment - 2,17 g/cm3 and cold crushing strength - 18,3 N/mm2, apparent density of samples after firing at 1600 оС - 2,15 g/cm3, an open porosity - 32,1 % and cold crushing strength - 10,2 N/mm2. The work should be continued towards the decrease of water demand of concrete mix and increase of physical-mechanical properties of magnesiacarbon castables. Trial lots of magnesia heat funnels for kryptol furnaces in total with open porosity of 18,2 % and apparent density 2,81 g/cm3 are released. On technological development of laboratory, trial lots of magnesia composition powders are released. The trial lot of five-channel magnesiachromite bottom plates is released with properties factors: open porosity of 16,2 %; cold crushing strength 69 N/mm2.; Тн.р.-1540оС. The trial lot of magnesiachromite refractories as a normal brick is released with properties factors: mass proportion MgO -72,70%; Cr2O3 - 4,85%; Al2O3 - 12,7%; SiO2 - 3,96%; Fe2O3 - 4,08%; CaO - 1,01%; cold crushing strength - 75 N/mm2, apparent density - 3,09 g/cm3, open porosity - 16,5 %, initial softening temperature - 1560оС, thermal shock resistance - 7 heats. The work should be continued towards further discharge of trial lots of magnesiachromite refractories with the use of grab iron of magnesia products. The standard sample of ДСЗУ 083.2-96 chamotte composition is fabricated with the following metrological characteristics: mass proportion SiO2 - 62,7%, Al2O3 - 30,02%, Fe2O3 - 1,41, TiO2 - 1,30, CaO - 0,47, MgO - 0,75.
