The purpose of the work - to investigate fundamental regularities of economic development and role of innovations here, and also to explain the substance of "ecological-innovation development of economy" as economic category in present-day conditions. The methods of the study: system-evolutional approach, dialectical method and method of logical generalization. The result of the work is a systematization of theoretical approaches of domestic and foreign scientists and experts to comprehension of objective regularity of economic development and role of innovation at that in context of modern ecological-economic problems. Result work novelty: it have been deepened scientific-methodical bases of adaptation of the economic development and ecology; it have been grounded methodological approaches concerning description of innovation way of ecologically of sustainable development of economy; it have been suggested the definition of substance of ecological-innovation development of economy as a result of running innovation technological impacts. Field of application: for management of ecological sustainable development of economy of Ukraine on level of legislature and executive power and regional level.
