Karazin popup.description2 Object of studies: Bi-Ge binary film systems. Objectives: experimental investigations of the supercooling under crystallization of liquid Bi phase on the Ge surface. Methods: the films were prepared by means of condensation in vacuum. Structure and properties of the films have been studied with high energy electron diffraction, transmission and scanning electron microscopy methods. Bi films condensed on the amorphous Ge surface have been selected as the objects under study. Such system has an eutectic type phase diagram with components that are almost immiscible in solid state. The original method for determination of temperatures of phase transitions from changes of condensation mechanism has been used among the well developed electron microscopy technique. New data on the supercooling under crystallization values of Bi on the amorphous Ge surface have been obtained. The main results have been received for the first time, they are actual for understanding of the physics of nanosized systems and for wide application of nanoobjects in modern technologies.
