Karazin popup.description2 The objects of studies were modern composite structures such as: a tungsten film on stainless steel, a tungsten film on copper covering deposited on stainless steel; organic dyes rhodamine 6G and methylene blue. The aims of work were: studies of forming of radiation damages in thin-filmed composite structures during their irradiation by medium energy D2+ ions; studies of radiation effects in organic materials irradiated by He+ and Ar+ ions. The methods of studies were: thermodesorption mass spectrometry, secondary ions mass spectrometry, electron microscopy and X-ray diffractometry. Forming of radiation damages in composite structures with tungsten films irradiated by D2+ ions was studied. It was ascertain that intrinsic matrix defects and implanted particles of bombarded beam were accumulated in samples. The trapping coefficients for deuterium in the tungsten film and its dependence on the irradiation dose were determined. The influence of irradiation dose on spectra of deuterium thermal desorption from composite structures with tungsten films was studied. The activation energies of deuterium thermal desorption from studied composite structures were determined. It is proposed that implanted deuterium was trapped in radiation vacancies forming some complexes that dissociated during post-irradiation heating with deuterium particles release and also formed gas bubbles. The influence of He+ and Ar+ ions irradiation on organic dyes rhodamine 6G and methylene blue was studied. The obtained results confirmed structural sensitivity of secondary ions mass spectrometry and showed its considerable promise for its using in studies of radiation damages in organic and bioorganic objects. The results of studies can be used at the development of new materials with given properties; in structural material science and also at the development of research procedures for SIMS studies of organic compounds.
