Head Kazachkov Evgeny, Registration Date 21-03-2007 Organization Pryazovskyi State Technical University popup.description2 On the basis of analysis of known technical decisions on use of steelmaking slag as substitute of natural resource in open-hearth furnaces and calculations of influence composition of burden materials and additions on technological and technical-economical indexes of heats, there were developed methods of introduction converter slag to open-hearth furnace using different schemes including period of finishing and also corresponding variants of rational ratio components of burden applicable to the condition OAS "MK Azovstal". By treatment the results of investigation trial-industrial lot of heats, it was shown that the heats with addition of converter slag into molten bath give (in comparison with current heats) increasing slag oxidizing, decreasing duration of ore boiling on 2 min, metal temperature at the end of ore boiling on 4?C, specific consumption of lime on 1,2 kg/t. iron ore on 10 % (at the increase consumption of scale on 4 %). For heats with introduction of converter slag into charge - decreasing: duration of melting on 18 min, carbon content in metal after melting on 0,15 %,duration of ore boiling on 15 min, and also increasing the yield of valid ingots on 1 kg/t of steel.
