There have been studied the problems of social and cultural development of Europe in ancient and medieval times. The attention has been given to the problems of the Greek colonization and interaction of the Greeks with the Skytho-Sarmatic population of the Northern Black Sea Coast, the peculiarities and the forms of interaction of state institutions, church and society and the reception of antiquity in the culture of the Middle Ages and New Time as well. Two theses have been defended, one thesis is accepted for defence.49 scientific articles have been published. There have been attended 27 international, all-Ukrainian and regional scientific conferences. There have been worked out the methodical guidances of such general courses as “The History of Ancient Greece and Rome”, “The History of the Medieval Ages” and other special courses.
