Soil pollution by manganese bonds influences on growth parameters of flower-decorative plants more strongly than cobalt pollution. It depends on kind of metal, its concentration and plant species specificity. The significant change of proline and tryptophan contents in Pinus sylvestrys L. seedlings received from dark and light seeds caused by the infection of Heterobasidion annosum. Phenolic compounds content in Pinus pallasiana seedlings increased after infectional inoculation in the roots and then – in the stalks. It is a protective reaction of seedlings to fungus infection
