A purpose of the work is providing of scientifically analytical accompaniment of decisions of Government and prescriptive documents of central organs of executive power, analysis of the systems and generalization of information on questions of socio-economic development of city. Research methods: STEP and SWOT analysis, expert estimations, methods of mathematic-economic design and prognostication, systematization and generalization of information (grouping, classification, cluster analysis). Analytical materials are got in a form of recommendations in relation to ways and mechanisms of implementation of decisions of Government and prescriptive documents of central organs of executive power, suggestions to the projects of normatively legal acts, expert conclusions and reviews. Strategy of development of city of Kyiv is specified to 2015 year: a mission is formulated, sweep, strategic aims, priorities andtasks development on a long-term period, strategic plans are developed with the list of tasks and measures, calculation of base prognosis indicators and expected results after the basic sectors of social sphere and economy of city.
