The purpose of the work is introduction of the improved production technology of corundum concrete for technical carbon production reactors. The research methods are chemical, petrographic analyses, determination of physical ceramic properties of corundum concrete. As a result of the carried out work the technology is implemented and the pilot batches of corundum concrete mix of СКБГЛ and СКБГХЛ containing scrap of corundum concrete after the lining service of technical carbon production reactors are produced in OJSC "The Ukrainian research institute of refractories named after A.S. Berezhnoy". The produced corundum concrete mix of these grades has been dispatched to one of Ukrainian consumers for carrying out industrial tests in lining service of technical carbon production reactor. In accordance with the carried out work results the project of the alteration №1 to ТУ У has been developed as well as ТИ for the production of these products has been developed, confirmed and run in; the application for the proposed invention has been submitted. The pilot batches of corundum concrete mix of СКБГ and СКБГХ-2 characterized by high properties indices which meet the requirements of ТУ У 26.2-00190503-278:2005 have been produced in OJSC "The Ukrainian research institute of refractories named after A.S. Berezhnoy" in accordance with ТИ 24-ИО-96-2003 with alteration №1. The corundum concrete mix is put by consumers to internal and external markets for executing the lining of technical carbon production reactors. The work shall be continued in the line of further improvement of production technology of corundum concrete mixes for technical carbon production reactors.
