The purpose of the work is production technology reprocessing of low cement alumina spinel concrete mixes for gunning. The research methods are physicochemical, petrographic, thermo-mechanical ones. The researches of the influence of the bunch amount "LITHOPIX AS-21" on low cement alumina spinel concrete mix for gunning have been carried out. The expediency of using the indicated bunch in the composition of gunned castable "СГШНЦОБТ-1" is determined since for all that its consistency and plasticity improve. This fact allows to provide good adherence and little percent of the refractory material in the course of gunning at the expense of increasing the level of gunned cover adhesion with the surface capable of repairing. The use of the bunch "LITHOPIX AS-21" also allows extending the source of raw materials for gunned castable production of "СГШНЦОБТ-1". As a result of the carried out researches concerning selection of material and grain composition of the castable for repairing lining of crucible of the steel-smelting department of the powder metallurgy production unit of OJSC "Electrometallurgical plant "Dniprospetsstal" after A.M. Kuzmin" the production technologies of alumina spinel of "СГШНЦОБР" and alumina "СГНЦОБР" of low cement repair castables have been developed. The developed castables are characterized by increased metal resistance in comparison with repair mass being used in the indicated enterprise which will allow increasing powder steel quality according to the pollution index due to nonmetallics. The pilot batch of low cement alumina spinel concrete mix for work execution of crucible lining has been produced and delivered to the customer in OJSC "The Ukrainian research institute of refractories named after A.S. Berezhnoy". The work shall be continued in the line of further improvement of production technology of low cement concrete mixes for cold and hot repair of lining of different heat aggregates by the methods of gunning and luting.
