The investigation subject: electromagnetic fields, waveguide processes in near and intermediate observation zone of the dipole, slot, waveguide and horn antennas, the characteristics of radiation of dipole antennas with the screen of finite size. The goal of the investigation: on the basis of rigorous and numerical-analytical methods of solution of radiation problems to develop the modern physico-mathematical models of the primary types of radiating systems, namely wire antennas (with impedance surface as well), waveguide-slot radiators, open-ended waveguides and horns. Such models provide the high accuracy of calculation of amplitude, phase and polarization characteristics of the fields in near, intermediate and far- zone. The techniques of investigations are the theoretical researches and computer analysis. The electrodynamically strict two mathematical models of the open end of the circular waveguide were developed with technique of expanding on spherical modes and with help of Hertz's potentials. The far zone boundaries and fields distribution form in the region of the near fields of the waveguide and horn radiator excited with the basic and high-order modes are determined. The possibility of synthesizing radiating systems with set field level in the required volume near antenna was shown. The physical-and-mathematical model and effective soft ware of calculating characteristics of the wire antenna with impedance cover situated over ideally conducting screen, were obtained. By the geometry theory of diffraction technique the basic parameters of wire antenna situated in the corner П~screen were determined. The test solution, which was obtained with the strict Galerkin's method in the case of scattering waves with electrc and magnetic screens, was proposed for investigating and optimizing algorithms developed on the base of method of moments in the waves diffraction theory. The amplitude and phase radiation characteristics of Hertz's dipole and wire linear radiator of arbitrary length situated in the absorbing medium were obtained.
