The purpose of the work is production technology improvement of crucibles based on periclase and spinel. The research methods are chemical, physical-mechanical, petrographic, electron microscopic, time determination method of suspension outflow and flowability research method by granular masses vibration. The researches on crucible production technology improvement based on periclase and spinel have been carried out: the influence of type and amount of dispersing agent on suspension outflow based on microgranular fused periclase as well as flowability by vibration of periclase spinel mass have been determined. Three interchangeable dispersing agent grades have been determined, the mechanism of dilution - dispersion has been shown. The researches have shown that alumina introduction in optimum amount allows to receive periclase spinel samples with open porosity of 17,3 %, ultimate compression strength of 35,9 MPa, heat resistance more than 20heat changes. The structural phase changes in the sample after firing depending on the amount of alumina being introduced have been determined. The researches on determination of dispersing agent amount influence on suspension outflow based on sintered and fused alumina magnesia spinel have been carried out as well as the influence of the sintered spinel on periclase spinel samples properties have been determined. Crucibles of periclase spinel, mullite corundum, corundum spinel and corundum periclase compositions have been produced and put into examination. The work shall be continued in the line of further improvement of crucible production technology based on periclase and spinel and in the line of mastering production technology of new configurations of crucibles.
