All-round investigations of the tube billets of a duplex steel UNS 31803 (02X22H5AM3) produced by various methods (not rolling and continuous casting) have been carried out. Lots of hot extruded, warm rolled and cold drawn tubes of steel 31803 have been produced. Recommendations on the correction of the steel chemical composition and the tube production technology to obtain tubes resistant to pitting and corrosion eracking have been given.
