Total number of the study subjects was 346. Study objective: assessment of the efficacy of therapeutic remedies in metabolic disorders correction under leptinresistance and insulinresistance syndromes among the ChNPP accident survivors. Study methods: clinical, anthropometric, biochemical, hormonal, instrumental, and statistical. It was revealed that IR and/or IR syndromes occur in ChNPP accident survivors in case of a less severe body mass excess than in general population. Oral hypoglycemic agents are effective here if the C-peptide serum content is 3.32 mcg/l and over. Metformin preparations are antihyperglycemic but not hypoglycemic agents being ineffective in IR correction. Insulin therapy is absolutely indicated if oral agents are ineffective. Dyslipidemia is an inevitable presentation of IR in ChNPP accident survivors. Initial pattern of IR in adolescents requires standard diencephalic therapy. Pronounced IR syndrome in teenagers makes necessary metformin administration being the only effective pharmacological tool under condition of real lifestyle and nutritional behavior modification.
