The study showed the prevalence of violation in lung volume correlation because of the changes in total lung capacity in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease in clean-up workers of Chernobyl catastrophe in comparison with nosologic control group. The main predictors of forming and progression of lung volume changes, lung diffusion capacity in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease in clean-up workers of Chernobyl catastrophe are smoking, frequent exacerbations, low body mass index, staying at Chernobyl NPP in May-August 1986 year.
