Research aim - to perform comparative analysis of telomere length and apoptosis in peripheral blood lymphocytes of persons under radiation exposure and to estimate theirinfluence on the immune function. Research methods - immunological, cellular-molecular, informative-statistical. A marked increase of the early apoptosis levels was shown in Chornobyl cleanup workers and moderate changes in staff working under low-dose limits. Late apoptosis indices were not changed. PBMC relative telomere length study showed the decline with an inverse dose dependcy. Lowest RTL indices were shown in 1986-87 cleanup workers aith a positive correlation with early apoptosis and age. It is fixed, that shortening of telomeres sequences correlation with the increase of level of apoptosis.
