Aim: Evaluation of health changes in clean-up workers, adult evacuees, residents of contaminated areas within 1988-2006 on the data of nontumor morbidity, mortality and risks for their development relative to age-and-sex as well as dose characteristics. Methods: Epidemiological, medical-and-statistical, risk-analysis. Results: Based on the data of SRU, over 1988-2007, 1.5 increase of nontumor morbidity was established in clean-up workers 1986-1987 (aged over 40 at the moment of their participation in recovery operations); relative risks for the development of some nontumor diseases were proved within the range of external whole body radiation doses (0.05-0.7 Gy). Over 15 and 20 years since the exposure, reliable relative and excess risks of death from circulatory diseases were observed at doses specified. With significant rise of morbidity and mortality in adult evacuees being noted. A new cohort of population of contaminated areas was made up. An epidemiological analysis of the dynamics of nontumor morbidity and mortality in residents of contaminated areas was performed. On its results an increase of rates for 1988-2006 was noticed. In 2004-2005, age-standardized mortality rates for adult evacuees exceeded those of adult population of Ukraine. On the data of CER, some peculiarities of nontumor diseases dependent on sex, age at the evacuation and external whole body radiation doses were identified in evacuees (children and adolescents) from 30-km Chernobyl area. Over 1992-2008, a statistically significant dependence of some nontumor diseases on age (at the time of participation in recovery operations) and doses (0.1-1 Gy and more) were specified in male clean-up workers of 1986-1987.
