The aim of 2008 year milestone was to study the dosimetric properties of materials which are potential individual retrospective and accidental dosimeters of electron paramagnetic resonance. Methods of the study: spectrometry of electron paramagnetic resonance, statistical, analytical ones. The study concerning optimization of registration parameters of EPR spectra for every selected material - potential individual EPR dosimeter has been conducted. The dose dependences have been studied. For this purpose, samples were irradiated to the gamma-doses in the range 1-25 Gy, the intensities of corresponding dosimetric signals have been determined and the best fitting functions have been found for experimentally obtained dose dependences. Few experiments concerning stability of radiation-induced paramagnetic centers as a function of the time after exposure have been performed. Stability (decay or so-called fading) of the dosimetric signal has been studied for different temperatures of sample storage after exposure. The influence of light of different nature on the stability of paramagnetic centers in potential dosimetric materials has been investigated. Both unexposed samples and samples previously exposed to specific gamma-dose were used for this study. The obtained results are the basis for routine dosimetric technique, which will be developed during 2009 year milestone. Form of implementation - the analytical information for Ministry of Health of Ukraine, Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine. Product Description popup.authors popup.nrat_date 2020-04-03 Close
