The objective of the paper also embraces giving definition to theoretic-methodological issues of paradigmatic aspects of clarifying and interpreting the work of art. The paper deals with highlighting peculiarities of communicative nature of verbal and non-verbal texts at their forming and functioning; as well as determining principal techniques implemented in the paradigm ‘the author – the text – the reader’. It’s also necessary to discover typology of intertextual and intermesial aspects of the artist’s text. According to the typological problem the categorical mechanism of conducting comparative study is specified. It’s given concrete expression to the notion ‘work of art’, and text- and content-building peculiarities of intertextualityare revealed.
