One inductor with the winding directly on the sample measured the flux dynamics inside the superconductor and the second one placed at some distance from the sample dealt with the dynamics of the scattering field. The measurements have shown that the duration of signals obtained from the first inductor was half the second one. Thus, the avalanche process can be divided into two stages: immediate penetration of the current into the sample under adiabatic conditions and the succeeding thermal relaxation resulting in the final distribution of magnetic field through the sample. The data permitted us to calculate the velocity of the front of the flux and the intensity of the electric field evolving as a consequence of magnetic avalanche.
