Factors which influence on "senescence" of furnace are set. The ways of increasing of work of regenerators are analysed. Recommendations are offered on the reconstruction of the lower part of furnace. Introduction of the offered measures will provide reduction of duration of hot repair of furnace from three to one days, due to liquidation of operations on cleaning checkerworks of regenerators.
