It was established that during last 8 years fuel-energy consumption at iron & steel enterprises has increased almost by 24 %. It was found that possible generation of thermal waste energy makes 0.17 Gkcal/t of rolled products, thus approximately 80 % of this heat are actually used. It is shown that thermal waste energy enables covering almost 55 % of industrial needs in thermal energy and almost 42 % of their total needs.
