The rate of energy consumption with food in gelatinous zooplankton was investigated and their predation impact on zooplankton production and biomass was estimated. It was shown that food supply of the Black Sea sprat is on the low level. Obviously this caused with water temperature increase which is insufficient for cold-tolerated species. Adaptation mechanisms of new alien mollusk Anadara to low oxygen content in the shelf zone were revealed and suggestion about perspectives of acclimatization of this species on the Azov-Black Sea shelf was made.
