The purpose of the work - development of the optimum mode of a vacuum drying of the green pressed large dimension refractory products with the using of vacuum, mas-tering of a vacuum drying of the green vibrocast large dimension chromic oxide products and producing of trial lots of chromic oxide refractories. Methods of research - a chemical analysis, standard methods of determinstion of moisture in the masses, open porosity, apparent density and cold crushing strength at of refractories. A pilot vacuum drying installation in which heating and vacuumizing of green products is carried out simultaneously and the process of drying is controlled by fixing of green product mass decreasing by electronic scales is improved and put right. At the temperature 60°C kinetics of drying of the green large dimension pressed chromic oxide blocks from fine dispersed masses both at atmospheric pressure and with using of vacuumizing is researched. It is established that application of simultaneous vacuumizing and heating of the green products and periodic standing without heating in the conditions of remain vacuum provides an acceleration in ~10 times of the green dry-ing and does not worsen the green and firing products properties. A vacuum drying of the green vibrocast large dimension products is mastered at producing of trial lot of chromic oxide refractories for a throat of the glass melting furnace for production of glass fiber. Trial lots of chromic oxide refractories for the one stage sets of glass fiber production from glass "E" are manufactured for the plants of Ukraine, Republic Belarus and Russia. The work should be continuing in the direction of development of technological pa-rameters vibrocasting of complicated configuration chromic oxide products from grain masses in plaster moulds.
