The purpose of work improvement of dynamic characteristic of synchronous generators, which working in ship power station. It is shown that using synchronous generator with direct and quadrature axis excitation allows to increase the relative fluctua-tions damping of conditions parameter of parallel working generator sets. The regulation law and device of excitement automatic regulation for this synchronous generator are designed. The regulation law provides work of the generator in all steady-state regimes with zero advance angles of rotor and show the best correlation with marine conditions. The procedure for determination of the best values of feedbacks gain factor in excitement axes of the generator is offered. The actual test of the synchronous generator with direct and quadrature axis excitation with analog device of the excitement automatic regulation are realized. The research effort results are introduced in process of the ship electric power stations designing. The development of the unified microprocessor automatic regula-tor of excitement for realization of the designed regulation law is proposed in future.
