Purpose of the work - determination of the optimum compositions of crucibles for alloys melting on the basis of nickel, cobalt, ferroniobium. Methods of studies - chemical, petrographical, physicomechanical. Is investigated an interaction of the periclasespinel, mullitecorundum, corundumspinel, corundumpericlase crucibles with the alloys on the basis of nickel, cobalt, ferroniobium, the mechanism of refractory materials interaction with the alloys is established. The optimum compositions of crucibles for alloys melting on the basis of nickel, cobalt and ferroniobium are established: - mullitecorundum crucibles are intended for the induction vacuum melting of high-temperature alloys on the basis of nickel and cobalt at temperatures up to 1650 С; - corundumspinel and corundumpericlase crucibles are intended for the induction vacuum and open air melting of high-temperature alloys on the basis of nickel and cobalt at temperaturesup to 1800 С;- periclasespinel crucibles are intended for induction melting of ferroniobium alloy at temperatures 1550- 1600 С. The conducted investigations made it possible to define the application field of crucibles with different compositions, which will make it possible both to increase the service life of the used crucibles and increase the output of quality metallic production. The trial lots of mullitecorundum, corundumspinel and corundumpericlase crucibles were produced. The study should be continued in the mastering direction of the improved manufacture technology of crucibles on the basis of periclase and spinel and in the direction of the development of the crucibles new configurations technology.
