Purpose of the work - determination of the serviece properties of the developed periclasecarbon concretes. Methods of studies - chemical analysis, physicomechanical tests, the determination of slag resistance, the petrographical and electronmicroscopic methods of studies. On the previously executed studies the samples of periclasecarbon concrete are prepared and its indices of general properties are determined. The comparative slag resistance tests of periclasecarbon concrete samples and periclasechromite refractories material established their practically equal stability to the action of the fusion of basic slag. As a result of executed studies established the possibility of using the periclasecarbon concrete in the lining of the slag belt of steel-smelting ladles, instead of at present periclasechromite products ПХСУ used. In OJSC "URIR named after A.S. Berezhnoy" trial lots were produced: - of five-groove-cutting periclasechromite fore plates for the hardening furnace, which are characterized by the following indices of properties: cold crushing strength - 57,5 N/mm2, open porosity - 16,2 % and the temperature of initial deformation under load 0.2 MPa - i.d. at 1600 оС; - periclasechromite powders for the lining of induction furnaces crucibles in a quantity of 2,35 t; - chromitepericlase powders for preparing the anti-burn-on paints . The manufactured production corresponds to agreement conditions and in the mentioned quantity delivered to users. The study should be continued in the direction of further perfection of periclasecarbon concrete technology and production of magnesia products trial lots with the use of a products scrap.
