Methods: epidemiological, statistical. There was performed an analysis of existing structure of profound clinical and epidemiological monitoring of persons born from parents that were exposed in childhood due to the Chernobyl accident. On the basis of comparative analysis of clinical and epidemiological register "Children" of the State Institution "Research Center for Radiation Medicine of AMS of Ukraine" and foreign analogical clinical and epidemiological registers, proposals concerning development of the CER were made. On the basis of existing data there was performed the analysis of health status in two groups of primary registration: born from recovery operation workers of 1986-1987 years of participation, and born from evacuees from Prypyat town. Comparative analysis of the database was performed in two directions. Comparison of the frequency of different pathologies in these two groups showed a statistically significant excess of diseases of digestive organs and nervous system in children born from recovery operation workers of 1986-1987. Besides in these two groups there was performed comparative analysis between born from parents, evacuated from Prypyat town in childhood and adult age. Statistically significant relative risk of endocrine pathology in persons born from parents, evacuated in childhood, was shown. That is why the program of examination of persons born from parents that were exposed in childhood, was expanded by analysis of thyroid hormones.
