The main aim of this work - increasing the selectivity of the flame atomic absorption detection of zinc, iron and manganese with the help of chemical modification. Investigation methods and devices: atomic-absorption spectrometry; C-115-M1. With the aim of increasing the selectivity of atomic absorption detection of zinc, iron and manganese in the model samples, the systematic investigation of the influence of mineral acids on the analytical signal value was conducted for the first time. The data obtained were systemized in the comparative tables. It was revealed, that the addition of modificators based on the surface active substances increases the sensitivity of the analysis. The new method for the sample preparation was developed for the air surrounding analysis based on the microwave irradiation of the sample in the mixture of the nitric (? = 20 %) and acetic (? = 50 %) acids. The most complete extraction of the methods was reached in these conditions. The project of the atomic absorption method was elaborated for the detection of zinc, iron and manganese in the food products (Cmin = 3 micrograms/ml for Zn, 0.08 micrograms/ml for Fe and 0.025 micrograms/ml for Mn) and in the air surrounding of the industrial objects (Cmin = 0.025 micrograms/ml for Fe and 0.008 micrograms/ml for Mn).
