A purpose is to calculate absorption of IR radiation in composites with metal nanoparticles and study reflection and absorption processes of electromagnetic waves by subatomic metal films under condition of variations in their thickness. Frequency and size dependences of the absorption coefficient for composites with Al and Cu nanoparticles are computed. Maxwell equations are solved for a metal film of nanometer thickness in the optical frequency range.
