The models combine the inertial and nonlinear effects of high frequency dynamic and static V-I characteristics of lamps. are based on the combining of nonlinear approximation of dynamic and static V-I characteristics. The mathematical models were transformed into PSpice-compatible models on the basis of standard blocks of behavioral modeling. This PSpice- models were included in the component model libraries of Microcap-9 and OrCad-9.2 simulation systems. The new decisions of high-frequency electronic ballasts were proposed and analyzed: a) single-stage low-frequency square-wave electronic ballast for high intensity discharge; b) single-stage high-frequency electronic ballast with power factor corrector and dimming capabilities ; this ballast is a combination of a buck converter and a half-bridge series-resonant parallel-loaded voltage inverter; c) single-stage high-frequency electronic ballast with power factor corrector and dimming capabilities ; this ballast is a combination of a buck-boost converter and a half-bridge series-resonant parallel-loaded voltage inverter. The comparative analysis of voltage, frequency and phase power control of fluorescent lamps is elaborated. The complex investigations of proposed structures of electronic ballasts and elaborated lamp models were elaborated on the basis of Microcap-9 and OrCad-9.2 simulation systems. The analysis, simulation and experimental results are in good agreement.
