The research goal is to analyze the statement of the problem, choosing the research lines of drying and dust collecting the bulk materials to improve operational and ecological characteristics of technological devices. The research methods: informational and analytical method, experimental modeling with laboratory-scale plants. Literature data and information from Internet relative to research calculated and experimental techniques of drying and dust collecting are analyzed. According to the results of information processing the lines of investigations in drying and dust collecting the bulk materials are formulated: the use of a spouted-bed technology for drying and the application of methods of vortex- dust collecting for dust inertia separation. Engineering techniques for calculated evaluations of drying the bulk materials and separation of the fine- dispersion dust are chosen and adapted. A technique and a program of experimental investigations in vortex- dust collecting are prepared, a laboratory-scale plant is improved, preliminary experiments on the development of a dust collector are conducted. Patent studies are carried out and a report is drawn up. The obtained results of the work will be used in calculations and experimental investigations of drying and dust collecting at subsequent stages of the research.
