The purpose of work - service test of magnesia-carbon concrete pilot sample. Methods of research - the chemical analysis, physicomechanical tests. By results of earlier executed researches on development of magnesia-carbon concrete technology instruction on its manufacture is developed. By developed ТИ in institute the trial lot of magnesia-carbon concrete which is characterized by high parameters of properties is is made: the open porosity - 15,8 %; a seeming density - 2,47 g/sm3; cold crushing strength - 64,0 N/mm2. Service tests of magnesia-carbon concrete pilot sample in a slag belt of a ladle for refinement of steel establish its practically equal stability to corrosion by slag with magnesia-carbon refractories which is in use now. Based on the results of realized service tests the magnesia-carbon concrete developed in OJSC "URIR named after A.S.Berezhnoy" is recommended for application in slag belt lining of steel-casting ladles. On institute pilot plant next trial lots are made: - magnesia-chromite powders which by parameters of properties correspond to requirements of buyers and are delivered to the enterprises of Ukraine; - five-canal magnesia-chromite hearth plates which on parameters of properties correspond to requirements of the buyer and are delivered to consumers of Ukraine. The work should be continued in a direction of magnesia-carbon concrete technology mastering and expansion of places of its application.
