The purpose of the work is production technology reprocessing of low cement castables and refractory corundum silicon carbide mix for thixotropic mass. The research methods are physicochemical, petrographic, physico- and thermo-mechanical ones.The researches of the influence of stabilizing additive of "Starvis-3003 F" on the degree of spreading low cement mullite corundum and fireclay castables of "ССМКНЦБ" and "ССШНЦБ", which containing dispersing agent of "Castament", depending on the humidity, have been carried out. As a result of researches, it has been determined the possibility of application of increased mobility polycarboxilate stabilizing additive of "Starvis-3003 F", whose peculiarity lies in the ability to control the viscosity of castables in a wide range of water / solid ratio, thus to obtain castables with the required degree of spreading.The influence of combined additive of "Castament FS-10" and (NaPO3)6 on the properties of low cement mullite corundum self-flowing castable of "СМКНЦБС-1" has been researched. It has been determined the possibility of application of increasing strength combined additive of "Castament FS-10" and (NaPO3)6 in the composition of the low cement mullite corundum self-flowing castable of "СМКНЦБС-1". It has been shown that the introduction of combined additive provides increasing strength of samples, produced from indicated castable, after drying at 110°C (2 h) ~ by 65 %, as well as after firing at 1450°C (5 h) ~ by 15 %. The comparison researches of the influence of cement type (brand of "CA-270", "Secar-71", "Gorkal-70" and "ВГЦ-73") on the properties of low cement periclase spinel castable for gunning of "СПШНЦОБРТ" have been carried out. It has been shown the possibility of application in the composition of the low cement periclase spinel castable for gunning of "СПШНЦОБРТ", as hydraulically hardening binder, cements of "Gorkal-70", "Secar-71" and "ВГЦ-73" produced by OJSC "The Ukrainian research institute of refractories named after A.S. Berezhnoy", as well as cement of "CA-270".The comparison researches of the influence of alumina additive (brand of "CTC-40", "ГК-2") on the properties of refractory corundum silicon carbide mix of "СКККТ" for thixotropic mass have been carried out. As a result of researches, it has been determined that the strength characteristics of samples from the thixotropic mass containing alumina of "ГК-2" after heat treatment at 1500°C were lower than requirements of technical documentation. In this connection caring further researches of properties of corundum silicon carbide mix for thixotropic mass, containing other types of alumina, is advisable.In OJSC "The Ukrainian research institute of refractories named after A.S. Berezhnoy" the pilot batches of low cement mullite corundum self-flowing castable and refractory corundum silicon carbide mix for thixotropic mass, as well as refractory products based on low cement castables, which are intended to metallurgical and machinebuilding plants of Ukraine, have been produced.The work shall be continued in the line of further improvement of production technology of low cement castables and refractory corundum silicon carbide mix for thixotropic mass.
