The purpose of the work is metrological support and improve the quality of tests and measurements of refractory products. The researches analysis of world-level measurements and trends to improve the means of measuring equipment for refractory production and research of metrological characteristics of measuring instruments, the normalized accuracy characteristics of the test equipment, conformity assessment criteria for certification of measurement and calibration laboratories. Recommended for use modern instruments for temperature control, measurement of mass, linear dimensions, determine the chemical composition. Calibration and attestation of means of instrumentation technology of state standard samples for the institute's private needs and for outside organizations have been carried out. Metrological attestation of testing equipment of OJSC "The Ukrainian research institute of refractories named after A.S. Berezhnoy" and refractory enterprises of Ukraine, as well as metrological supervision of compliance with the required conditions and regulations of carrying out measurements in the attested gaging and gauge laboratories of refractory enterprises of Ukraine, have been carried out. According to behalf of the Ministry of Industrial Policy of Ukraine, two laboratories of refractory enterprises of Ukraine have been prepared and attested, that will allow increasing level of assurance and performance of measurements in measuring laboratories of refractory enterprises. Works for the attestation of OJSC "The Ukrainian research institute of refractories named after A.S. Berezhnoy", which gives the right for carrying out functions of the main organization of metrological service (MOMS) of Ministry of Industrial Policy of Ukraine in accordance with the attestation field, have been carried out.
