It was shown, that the Black Sea, concerning its productivity level, is a typical mezotrophic water reservoir (excluding eutrophic aquatorium near Danube estuary). Not considerable interannual phytoplankton productivity changes testify to the phytoplankton primary producing processes stability in the Black Sea ecosystem. Possibility to apply the worked out models for express-control and predicting the ecological state of the Black Sea at different temporal and spatial scales is the practical value of the results obtained.
