Analysis of the modern equipment and literature has shown that it is possible to realize thru modernization of the working stand with half-disc rolls into a stand with vertical round rolls with cut groves of a variable cross-section. Based on this assumption and the technical specification, a technical assignment has been worked out and approved by the customer. The technical assignment completely meets requirements concerning the mill operation and cost efficiency.
