Literature analysis has shown that it is possible to reaize thru swithing of the mill from warm rolling to cold rolling and modernization of the currently working stand with half-disc rolls into a stand with vertical rolls and ring dies. Based on the approved technical specification, a technical assignment has been worked out and coordinated with Customer for the modernization of KhPT-55 cold tube rolling mill which completely corresponds to requirements concerning the mill operation and cost efficiency.
