Research objective: construction and optimisation of the mechanism of adaptation of economic behaviour of households to conditions of transitive economy of Ukraine Research methods: structurally-functional approach, system-institutional approach, economic-mathematical modelling. Theoretical and practical results: the mechanism of distribution of a current revenue of households on current consumption and current investments, and also formation of unorganized savings is methodologically reasonable. Novelty: links of the mechanism of savings process of households are advanced: motives, stimulus and forms of savings. The central link of the given mechanism are stimulus which transform motives of savings process as the purposes of savings into concrete forms and instruments of savings. Stimulus of the savings circulation are possibilities more an effective utilisation of the accumulated resources in the future as indemnification for their non-use in the current period.
