The aim of research is the devel-opment of theoretical concepts and develop scientific and practical recommendations for streamlining and involve-ment of internal and external, economic and institutional instruments of poverty reduction strategies at the global level. Achieving the goal of the study involved the following areas: the essence of the poverty research phenomenon , theoretical foundations of this problem, analyzing the potential of international aid as a mechanism for solving problems of poverty; to study the role of policy convergence in the income of a successful poverty eradication strategies; the identification of ways to rationalize the participation of countries in international trade in the context of poverty and improve the welfare of their population. In the process of research common and special methods were used, such as: the dialectical method of knowledge, methods of induction and deduction, comparison and synthesis of scientific abstraction, economic statistics, economic-mathematical methods and others. In the context of research, it were designed the recommendations touching with: enhancing the impact of international economic assistance as a mechanism for implementing the strategy for poverty eradication in the country (including Ukraine), enhancing the level of involvement and use of both financial and technical assistance to achieve the objectives of alleviating poverty and improving institutional framework for the rational use of international assistance within the implementation of poverty eradication strategy; ways of improving policy convergence in incomes, transformation, including the mechanisms of social and economic optimization of the proportions in the EU in the context of strengthening the convergence of incomes; improving the conceptual framework, economic and organizational means of intensification of positive and minimization of negative social and economic consequences of the participation of country in international trade in the context of poverty reduction strategies and improving well-being of population. Certain recommendation of research authors were implemented to the educational process of Ternopil National Economic University during developing teaching courses. The results in the form of suggestions and recommendations were used at the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Ternopil and Lviv Regional State Administration, the Pension Fund of Ukraine.
