It was established that the Pb and Zn contamination of vegetation decreased with time, and reduce of the pollution by heavy metals is the slower the higher heavy metal content is in soil. The features of lead and zinc effect on the development of soil microorganisms in soils were studied. It was found that chernozem contamination with Zn results in suppression of microscopic fungi; Pb contamination significantly more inhibits the bacterial flora development. Nonuniformity of reaction centres in the Cs sorption was established after the results of model experiments on 137Cs sorption by separate fractions of sod-podzolic soil. The rate constants of 137Cs sorption and desorption processes at reaction centres of every type were determined - for two types of ion exchange sorption centres and three types of unexchange sorption centres.
