Methodical recommendations for ground surveys in the monitoring of crops according to satellite imagery are developed and the experimental ground truth to determine the optical characteristics of some elements of agricultural land is carried out. The analysis of the capacity to identify and evaluate the erosion degradation of agricultural landscapes and land use systems with modern systems of remote sensing and developed guidelines and technological schemes of automated material handling space imaging to assess the erosion degradation of agricultural landscapes and land use systems are given. The interpretive features of objects of agricultural landscapes and land use systems are defined and the logical scheme of environmental assessment of agricultural landscapes based on satellite imagery and technological schemes of automated image classification are developed. Methodical recommendations for agri-environmental assessment of agricultural landscapes and land use systems using traditional ground-based and remote sensing observations are given.
