The research purpose is to conduct preliminary experiments and calculating assessments of dust cleaning and drying bulk materials. The research methods are mathematical modeling and experimental simulation with the laboratory equipment. A developed engineering calculated technique of the efficiency of vortex dust cleaning is verified using a known numerical mathematical model in the form of the ANSY/CFX 11.0 program complex. A technique and a program of experiments with vortex dust cleaning are prepared. The laboratory equipment is improved and preliminary experiments on development of a vortex deduster are conducted. Calculating assessments of drying bulk capillary-porous materials are made. The laboratory setup is installed and a scheme for measurement of drying bulk materials under active hydrodynamic conditions is developed.
